The anonymous authors of this site spent five weeks in Tibet in August and September of 2002, visiting family and friends in the U-Tsang region. We spent a little over three weeks in Lhasa, and took Landcruiser journeys to Namtso, Pempo, Reting, Drigung Til, Derdrom, Melthrok Gongkhar, Samye, Yamdroktso, Gyantse and Shigatse. Because of security concerns, the trip was almost completely apolitical, and we dared not take photos that would create risks. Even so, we are able to offer viewers a current look inside Tibet. |
