We were there on a stupendous day, and despite no sleep from a dry, hacking altitude cough, we loved the steep climb on a damp, grassy, slightly slippery yak trail up to the ridge at 14,400 ft.(4290 m.) and were astonished by the glorious 360 degree view at the top -- clouds dappling the summer-green mountains marching off into the distance, layers upon layers of beautifulness.
