This boy from Eastern Tibet sells yak meat by Sera Monastery. Most of the meat sellers are Tibetan Muslims, for butchery is considered low work by the Tibetan Buddhists, who nonetheless eat a lot of yak meat. Yak is considered better than smaller animals or fish, since fewer animals need die to provide more meat.
