Prostrators are very common on the Barkhor, but this man was unusual in that he wore no leather pads on his knees or hands and no apron to keep the dirt off his clothes. He prostrated through the mud, intently focussed. I watched him for a long time, wondering what his story was, moved by his seeming vulnerability.
