Many old men and women perform a daily 8 km prayer circumambulation of Lhasa's holy sites on the Lingkor. Here they climb part of the Chogpori (Iron Mountain), one of the few parts of the Lingkhor that retains the uniquely Tibetan flavor of prayer flags, incense, rock carvings and people praying while they carry out their daily routines.
